If you like a guy, what would you consider as "pestering" because i don't want to do that?

Ok so i really REALLY like this guy. He really likes me back. we haven't gone out yet because we've only been really talking for the past two weeks. last time we hung out he put his arm around my waist and pulled me to himself and i just leaned into his side (felt sooooo good to be held like that) and then we he left, he said "don't worry....we'll hang out again this week" and then shot me a smile that i had never seen before....one that made me want to jump up and kiss him right there hahahaha but i didn't. So i realized how sweet he has been with his time and how much he has done for me so i txted him and told him it was his turn to choose what we did. He thought i was being litteral and he said that we couldn't hang because he already had plans with his friends (which i was TOTALLY FINE WITH) that was yesterday....but should i text him/call him today? should i wait for him to call me and tell me what he wants to do to hang? i don't want to pester him and i don't know what those limits are.
