I heard somewhere if your hit in the chest at a specific moment..?

that you can go into cardiac arrest? I read it somewhere and didn't really think of it much but Im just curious, supposedly, if someone hits you in the chest hard enough, right when your heart is inbetween beats, you can go into immediate cardiac arrest. Is this true? And when they say force do they mean like a car hitting you, or someone punching you in the chest. I've actually been hit in the chest really hard once but it didn't kill me but im curious.
