Can ghosts upset babies?

i was looking after my friends little boy who is 3 months old a few nights ago. i have often noticed that strange things happen in their house before, like the childs mobile going off by itself and even falling on him. he has been laid on his changing table where a shelf is above and things started falling off. well a few nights ago i was alone with him and he was sat in his bouncer chair infront of me, he was giggling away and i looked at the screen of my laptop and all of a sudden he started hysterically crying, i picked him up and he wouldnt stop, when he did he was staring at the door and quivering. the house felt really hot and when the childs father walked in he made a comment about how cold the house was. do you think the little boy saw a ghost?
