Do most young people start out as liberals....?

In my mis-spent youth i was an ultra liberal i was what you would have called a "Hippie Chick" and if i was that same age today i would be an Obama supporter all the way. Then as time went on i saw that the Democratic party had lost its focus it had become the party of the so called "Victims" and would embrace anyone or any cause in exchange for a vote. I began to realize that conservatives earn your vote while liberals had become bullies that tried to buy your vote.
